BMW, Toyota, Bosch, and Repsol are launching a road test in Spain using 100% renewable gasoline. A fleet of around 20 cars will use Nexa 95 fuel for six months, with no modifications to engines or refueling infrastructure. Bosch will digitally monitor each refueling through the Digital Fuel Twin system, while the data collected will be used to assess the potential of renewable fuels in decarbonizing transport. The goal is to demonstrate that this technology can complement electrification by leveraging the existing vehicle fleet and the distribution network already in place. The results will be shared with European institutions to contribute to the debate on technological neutrality and the role of renewable fuels in future sustainable mobility policies.
