Suzuki has been developing all-wheel drive technologies for over fifty years, now brought together under the AllGrip name. Not a single system, but four distinct solutions, each paired with a specific model in the range: Swift, Vitara, S-Cross, Across and e Vitara.
All-wheel drive, often associated only with snow and ice, is also used in Italy during the summer: unpaved roads and natural-surface routes account for a significant share of the country’s road network, leading to destinations such as coves, natural areas, farm stays and campsites away from the main routes.
The roots of this technology date back to 1968, with the project that would lead in 1970 to the debut of the brand’s first compact off-roader, the forerunner of the Jimny range
