Founded in 1964 by engineer Giotto Bizzarrini, the small Livorno-based automaker left an important mark on the history of the Italian automobile despite limited production. Its founder contributed to the development of the Ferrari 250 GTO, designed the celebrated Lamborghini V12, and created the Iso Grifo A3/C. The brand's activity ended in 1969, leaving several projects unfinished. In 2020 Bizzarrini was reborn thanks to Pegasus Brands, with Ulrich Bez leading the relaunch. After the 5300 GT Revival Corsa, the automaker presents the 5300 Aperta Lusso, an open-top version of the historic 5300 GT Strada based on an unpublished Giorgetto Giugiaro project from the 1960s. The concept envisioned a targa body with removable panels and a fixed roll bar, but it was shelved and remained forgotten for over sixty years, until its current reinterpretation.
