The Iso Rivolta Varedo is one of the rarest and most forgotten concepts in automotive history. Built in 1972 by Iso Rivolta, only two units were made: one functional, now preserved in Florida, and one body shell without an interior intended for display. This latter was shown at the Car Design Event in Munich as a tribute to Italian designer Ercole Spada. The Varedo represented the brand's last great vision, known for combining Italian elegance with powerful American V8 engines, as seen in the Iso Grifo and Iso Lele models. Presented at the Turin Motor Show, it anticipated the new era of mid-engine sports cars. The design, characterized by the typical wedge shape of the seventies, featured extremely low and angular lines, marking the transition to a more aggressive and functional style.
