The Lamborghini Miura SV takes center stage once again with "Beyond the Edge," a video in which Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli compares space exploration with one of the most iconic sports cars in history. Nespoli explains that the 1969 Moon landing, which he watched at age 12, inspired him to become an astronaut. During his career, he spent about 300 days in space, facing accelerations greater than 4 G and speeds exceeding 17,100 mph.
According to Nespoli, the same spirit of innovation guided Automobili Lamborghini, the company founded in 1963 that revolutionized the industry with the Miura. Introduced in 1971, the SV version refined the original project and, even today, conveys driving sensations that the astronaut describes as unique and timeless.
