Stellantis confirms Italy’s central role in its industrial strategy, focusing on new models, electrified technologies and investments in its plants through 2030. During the MIMIT Automotive Roundtable, Emanuele Cappellano outlined the results of the Italy Plan, highlighting growth in domestic production and a decline in the use of social safety nets. The main projects include the new Alfa Romeo model to be produced in Melfi by 2027 and the new batteries for the electric Fiat 500 developed in Mirafiori. The group also aims to strengthen the Italian supply chain, while calling on Europe for more favorable rules to support the competitiveness of the automotive industry.
