The Stellantis plant in Betim, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, is the group’s largest manufacturing facility in South America and one of its main industrial hubs worldwide. Opened in 1976, it produces models from the Fiat, Citroën, and Peugeot brands intended mainly for Latin American markets. The site integrates stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and engine production operations, with a highly localized supply chain. In recent years, it has benefited from major investments in electrification, with the introduction of mild hybrid systems (Bio-Hybrid) and new production platforms. Thanks to a high level of automation and a production capacity of hundreds of thousands of vehicles per year, Betim represents one of Stellantis’ strategic assets in Brazil.
