The Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics require a more robust and resilient electrical grid, capable of supporting future consumption for about 20,000 users including residents, businesses, and tourists. Enel, a Premium Partner of the Games, provides renewable energy and creates permanent infrastructure such as the new underground primary substation in Livigno, the highest in Italy, along with 37 miles of cables and new secondary substations. Terna completes 81 miles of underground power lines and stations integrated into the alpine landscape, enabling the spread of high-power charging. In this context, the electric Fiat Grande Panda, with a 186-mile range and charging up to 100 kW, and the 600 mild hybrid are examples of gradual electrification, which, like the energy grid, prepares the mobility of the future.
